Mr. Animashaun is a Nigerian lawyer with over 31 years post call experience. He is also admitted to the Bar in England and Wales as well as Maine Bar in the U.S.A. Mr. Animashaun is an international expert in transaction advisory services on renewable energy. He was also a technical advisor to the House of Representatives ad hoc Committee on the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, which has been signed into law as the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021. Mr. Animashaun continues to be engaged by several development agencies to provide advice on policy development, institutional reform, and strategy.
As Chief Technical Adviser to the United Nations Justice Project in Afghanistan, Mr. Animashaun coordinated international input and capacity support to the Afghan Ministry of justice’s Legislative and Contractual Drafting Department. He participated extensively in the harmonization and alignment of key statutes, laws, and regulations with international standards. As a member of the Legislative Drafting Working Group, Mr. Animashaun oversaw the creation of the Afghan Supreme Courts’ translation unit which sets certified standards for translation of legal and technical documents, including official translations of laws, regulations, court transcripts and judgments.
Mr. Animashaun has represented various energy and maritime interests, both in the public and private sectors in Nigeria, United States, United Kingdom, and the Middle East.
